Sponsorship

Introduction

A community is, by definition, a team. When you make a commitment to the community, whether through involvement in youth projects, training the local football team or any other activity, you become a member of that team.

At McDonald’s, we believe that we too have a responsibility in this regard. That is why we try to give something back to our local communities through our many sponsorship programmes.

Local Sponsorship

If you’re looking for support for a project in your area, try your local McDonald’s restaurant. After all, a lot of our restaurants contribute to their community through a wide range of local support and sponsorship programmes, such as the one outlined below.

Castletroy College, Limerick

Recently, both teams won the Munster School Senior and Junior Cups respectively.

•    The Castletroy College Senior Rugby Team won against CBC of Cork (21-15) on St. Patrick's Day in Garryowen.

•    The Castletroy College Junior Rugby Team won against Presentation Brothers College (22-15) five days earlier in the same field.

This was the first time they got into the final, and to have won the match was an outstanding achievement, considering they have only been playing for five years.
